Sunday Worship
We meet for worship each Sunday at 10:30am Worship is led by our own minister, Revd Stephen Spain, or by another minister or Local Preacher from the Oxford Methodist Churches. Our worship can vary in style, but includes Bible readings, prayers, a sermon or reflection and singing. We sing a mixture of traditional and more modern hymns and songs. We share in Holy Communion about once a month. Some worship services are live-streamed on YouTube. You can join us live or catch-up with services later. Find all our live-streams and videos on our YouTube channel. For the latest information about upcoming worship services see our page on the Oxford Methodist website. You are very welcome to join us for worship and for tea and coffee afterwards in the church hall. |
Wednesday Worship
Once a month we meet for a short service. The service takes place on the first Wednesday of the month at 2pm and lasts about 30 minutes. Worship is usually led by our own minister, Revd Stephen Spain. It includes familiar hymns and aims to be dementia friendly. The service is followed by tea and coffee. |
Taizé Prayer
Four times a year we host a quiet, prayerful service in the style of the Taizé community on a Sunday evening. It is a service of song, silence and reflection. We use some of the music from the Taizé community and similar songs, together with prayers, Bible readings and an extended time of silence. |
